  • 3 large potatoes
  • 1 large onion
  • Olive oil
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 bell pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • Chives for garnish
  • 3 eggs
  • 300 ml milk
  • 200 g wholemeal flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 150 g cheese (grated)



  1. Prep Time: 20 minutes | Cooking Time: 60 minutes | Total Time: 80 minutes
  2. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  3. Peel and grate the potatoes, onion, and carrot. Finely chop the bell pepper.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the grated potatoes, onion, carrot, and chopped bell pepper. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt. Mix well.
  5. In another bowl, beat the eggs and mix them with the milk. Add this mixture to the potato mixture.
  6. Gradually add the wholemeal flour and baking powder to the wet ingredients, stirring to combine. The batter should be thick and homogenous.
  7. Grease a baking dish with olive oil and pour the batter into it. Spread evenly with a spatula.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.
  9. Remove the dish from the oven and sprinkle the grated cheese evenly over the top.
