Ingredients:

  • 2 chicken fillets
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp sweet paprika
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup Parmesan, grated
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 5 potatoes
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • Vegetable fat for frying
  • Salt, chives, dill, and garlic for seasoning
  • Ketchup for serving

 

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F). Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Remove excess moisture from the chicken fillets and cut as shown in the video. Season with salt, sweet paprika, and black pepper.
  3. In a bowl, mix soy sauce and olive oil. Add the chicken fillets and ensure they are well coated. Let them marinate for 30 minutes.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs. In another bowl, mix the grated Parmesan, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, and paprika.
  5. Dip each chicken fillet in the egg, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture. Place on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake the chicken for 12-15 minutes or until golden and cooked through.
  7. For the potatoes, cut them into sticks and soak in cold water for 30 minutes. Drain and pat dry with a towel.
  8. Toss the potato sticks with cornstarch. Heat vegetable fat in a deep fryer or a large pan and fry the potatoes for 4-6 minutes or until crispy.
  9. Season the fried potatoes with salt, chives, dill, and garlic. Serve the chicken and potatoes with ketchup on the side.
