For the meatballs:

  • 700g minced meat
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon chili pepper
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 sprigs of parsley, finely chopped

For the potatoes:

  • 400g potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 50g butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 sprigs of parsley, finely chopped
  • Red pepper, sliced
  • Green pepper, sliced

For the sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 2 glasses of water (400 ml)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

 

Directions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine minced meat, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, black pepper, chili pepper, thyme, and chopped parsley. Mix well.
  2. Form small meatballs and set aside.
  3. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Cook meatballs until browned; remove and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, cook sliced potatoes with butter, salt, black pepper, and parsley until golden.
  5. Add red and green peppers; cook until slightly softened.
  6. Mix tomato paste, water, and salt for the sauce.
  7. Return meatballs to pan, add sauce, ensuring all is well coated.
  8. Cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes.
